On the grounds of Muir Farm
River & Oak is established on the grounds of Muir Farm, honoring the history and identity of the land while creating a new chapter centered on hospitality, celebration and connection.
The name comes from the two things this place has always had: the river that bends below the lawns, and the oaks that have shaded them for generations. Muir Farm remains part of the property’s story; River & Oak is the experience that grows from it.
The two people behind every day
Tori and Taela curate celebrations because they cannot help it. The timeline, the table, the moment a guest walks in and realizes someone thought of everything. Nursing is what taught them to carry people through the biggest day of their lives. River & Oak is where they do it on purpose.
Tori Adams
Tori plans backwards from the one moment you want people to remember, then builds the rest of the day to protect it. She will spend an afternoon working out where the light falls at five o’clock and then rebuild the whole timeline around the answer.
She studied psychology at Concordia University before earning her nursing degree at Saint Louis University, and she played collegiate softball along the way. Between the three of them she learned to read a room, hold a plan together, and keep her head when the clock is against her.
Away from the estate she paints and she lifts, and she keeps company with a dog named Gus and two cats, Jack and Stormi.

Taela Jackson
Taela opens every conversation the same way, by asking what you actually picture. Then she turns the answer into something your guests can walk straight into, working it detail by detail until the day feels like it could not have gone any other way.
She earned her nursing degree at Park University and built her career around the health of women and their babies, on what is the most consequential day most families will ever have. It taught her to stay present, to keep her voice steady, and to be a step ahead of what someone needs.
Away from the estate she is happiest at home with her own three: two dogs, Bentley and Lambo, and a cat named Mercedes.
